ZERO DEFECTS PLANNING
The concept of holding a “Zero Defects Day” to celebrate the change in your company is typically an American idea, but one that may have some merit
This event:
- Is to celebrate the change in quality awareness
- Should involve senior management
- Can have management restate their commitment to QIP
- Gives the employees the opportunity to commit themselves
- Keeps people motivated and positive
If this event is to be held, then:
- Establish an ad hoc committee
- Plan events leading up to Zero Defect day
- Plan manager/supervisor training
- Plan Zero Defect day
- Use it to announce plans for the future and share progress to date
