Southern Africa Youth Project Introduction to Positive Psychology

Soweto is the heartbeat of our nation, and today we are going to hear about another important part of our country – Eastern Cape province. The youth of this region too is making a name for themselves, and they have been selected as the winners of ‘Southern Africa Youth Project’.

This project aims to inspire young people from all over the globe by sharing the stories behind their initiatives and successes. Congratulations to all our honorable youth!

In the name of development, we have to accept that youth are being exploited…What can you do when you are born in a land of inequality and poverty? Siyyap is an attempt to understand this question. Siyyap means to imagine and build a better future where the youth can live with dignity.

Siyyap is an initiative by Youth Empowerment Foundation based out of Eastern Cape, South Africa to empower the youth and give them an equal opportunity in life. Youth project dikeni engcobo eastern cape province south africa aims at empowering these youths with various activities that would build hope, give direction and change their lives for better.

What’s a better way to spend your Monday morning than by volunteering at an event that’s full of positivity, laughter, and excitement? We think not.

So next time you’re wondering what you can do to make the world a better place, give S.A.Y.P a shot! The brand new project by the Youth For World Harmony shines light on the wonderful things happening in our beautiful continent with its fun and engaging events. From making friendship bracelets together to dancing merrily in the streets, S.A.Y.P is all about celebrating and building community through youth development initiatives around the globe!

Youth are the future of our country, and this project aims to empower them and make them aware of their rights.

The Eastern Cape is littered with liquor stores that lure youth with easy access to alcohol. This project aims to change that by educating youth about their rights and making the sale of liquor illegal in the region. The initiative is a collaborative effort between various NGOs and government bodies, such as SADC Youth Project and SAPS Youth Development Unit, to help teach young people about the dangers of alcohol consumption and violence. Youth can learn more about this initiative online at www.southernafricayouthproject.org or through programs like this one taking place across the province every Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 9:00pm
