Kholofelo Morudu is 21 years old and resides in Diepsloot and like many, growing up in a disadvantaged community presented a lot of challenges, amongst them was the inability to further his studies due to lack of financial support.
That changed when Kholofelo was referred to Southern Africa Youth Project by another beneficiary, which earned him an opportunity to enroll for Life skills, Cashier, Waiter and Customer service and End User Computing. Upon completion of the training programs Kholofelo’s life had changed and his confidence had improved.
He then got a job at Wits as a waiter for 6 months and then went on to secure and then moved in search of other opportunities and got a job as a barman at Blaque Wine & Grill house.
Kholofelo closed in saying that, he would like to thank the team of Southern Africa Youth Project for their tireless efforts in trying to “change the way young people think about themselves” for it has worked and he is now a more innovative and confident young man within his working space and community.
SayPro prides itself in the impact that it continues to make amongst young people of South Africa.
