Karabo Motswi a current beneficiary shares her story of hope

I am Karabo Motswi and I am 24 years old, this is my story of hope.

Before I joined I was on the verge of giving up on life, simply because I had been looking for a job for more than two months with no luck. I had a low self-esteem and no experience in using a computer which is one of the reasons why I couldn’t get a job. Things changed when I first came to and got welcomed by a friendly consultant named Linah Ralepello, she gave me information about the services offered at and further recommended which training programs I could enroll for.

Since then I have been a beneficiary of Southern Project and in my journey with the organization, I have received training in Career Guidance, Job Searching skills and tools to help me keep a job, over and above that I have enrolled for 4 other programs , Cashier, Waiter, Customer service and currently I’m doing computer training. Some of the training programs have helped improve my confidence as I was sometimes required to present in front a big number of people of which I could not do before I came to SayPro. I now believe in being bold enough to dream big and brave enough to go out and make it. Sothern Africa   Project encouraged me to help others and most importantly I have learned that “being poor is only the state of mind”.

One of the things that stood out for me was the continuous effort by the team of and how delightful they are in changing the lives of young people. They are a team that is always fresh, they offer heartfelt services and show concern and empathy for the people they deal with. I would like to say that you continue to make a difference and changes the way people think and perceive life. You’re straight up, you always keep it supper simple, you are red hot and awesome in ensuring that everyone who comes to SayPro gets an unforgettable experience. has the best team ever.

I now know where to find information and how to use it-“That’s the secret to success. I was taught to do the very best I know and the very best I can, and that is the most valuable lesson I’ve learned. I was also taught to be responsible, honest, become a role play. I would like to thank Youth Project and its team for granting me the opportunity to enroll for all the training programs for free.

It often said that “a journey of a thousand miles begins with taking one step”, and if you are will to compromise all for the freedom of others then you are worth celebrating and that’s what SAYPRO has done for us .I learned that if your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more then  you are a leader.

Southern Africa Youth Project has changed the way i think about myself.
