Nicholas has been a part of the Youth Enterprise Society since its inception, and since then he has gained a lot of skills under the guidance of SayPro. He has participated in all our training programs within the Youth Enterprise Society.

He has acquired skills in various business competencies:

  • Idea Generation
  • Business Planning
  • Sales skills and
  • Product promotion and selling
  • Life skills, where he learned public speaking, communication skills and leadership skills.

To Nicholas, all of  this is just a tip of the iceberg, because his life took a different turn when he got an opportunity to become a part of an international program called  ”Coda Dojo” sponsored by SayPro’s partner company “Accenture”. The program caters for 40 young people 20 of which are from YES clubs, where they are taught coding skills in 4 programing languages: Java script, CSS, HTML and Scratch. Being a part of such a life-changing opportunity had a huge influence on Nichola’s life as it where he learnt how do develop games and websites,

Nioclas was recognized as one of the top learners within the programming course at Southern Africa Youth Project and an  opportunity to pitch some if his idea to a few of the best IT specialists in SA, whom have now committed to supporting him.

He has now completed the course and graduated along with 15 other members of the YES Clubs. During his speech at the graduation session, he said “I would like to extend utmost appreciation to Southern Africa Youth Project and its partners for their continued support and I wish more young people like myself could access to opportunities like this”.

Changing the way the youth think about themselves.
